GUS - Dallas the Dog needs a home
Gus is a handsome, gray Weimaraner with the most soulful eyes you'll ever see. This sweet boy had a rough life before coming into rescue and needs a routine, therapeutic environment to learn how to trust again. He already knows how to love, and will give it generously once you have gained his trust. The way Gus shows his fear is that he runs...he can be quite the escape artist. This can be remedied by taking him outside on a leash to do his business and then bringing him back inside. If you have a secure yard, Gus has learned how to use a doggy door, but he has been known to dig out, so it would need to be very secure. When spoken to, Gus will wag his little nub tail to let you know how much he is soaking in the attention. He is also a big fan of belly rubs. Gus will need another dog in his new home to show him how to trust and learn the ropes of living in a household.
Gus's ideal family will be patient and gentle, and willing to overcome his fears and challenges, and with this sweet boy the rewards will be great.
